½ teaspoon chili powder

Wooden or metal skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for at least 30 minutes)

1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and finely diced

½ small red onion, finely chopped

1 jalapeño, seeds removed and minced

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Optional: juice of ½ lime for an extra zing

Add the turkey cubes to the mixture, ensuring each piece is evenly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for enhanced flavor).

    Prepare the Salsa: In a separate mixing bowl, combine the diced cherries, chopped red onion, minced jalapeño, honey, balsamic vinegar, and cilantro.
