Ingredients

4 cups frozen French fries

1 pound ground beef or turkey

1 medium onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, rinsed and drained

1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies

2 tablespoons chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup beef broth

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Jalapeño slices (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

In a skillet set over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey for about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened, around 3 minutes.

Move the meat mixture to a slow cooker. Incorporate the kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and beef broth. Stir thoroughly to blend all ingredients.

Cover the slow cooker and choose the low setting for 4 hours or the high setting for 2 hours, allowing the chili to thicken and flavors to develop.

While the chili cooks, prepare the frozen French fries as per package directions until they are crispy!

After the fries are ready, arrange them on a large serving tray or baking sheet.

Generously ladle the chili mixture over the fries, ensuring they are completely covered.

Top the chili with shredded cheddar cheese, letting it melt a little.

Add dollops of sour cream, a sprinkle of fresh cilantro, and jalapeño slices if you like.

Serve right away and savor the ultimate Game Day delight!
